It's likely your lawn has some irregular-shaped areas. Our advice is to divide your areas into simple shapes. Below you'll find some formulas to calculate your lawn areas quickly.
Calculating your lawn areas
Measure each of your areas in metres and allow a 5% variance for good measure.

Square or rectangle
Multiple the length by the width.
Length x width = square metres
Triangle
Multiply the height of the triangle by the width (also known as the 'base') then divide by 2.
Height x width (base) / 2 =

Circle
To calculate the square metre area of a circle, first measure the radius of the circle. The radius is the distance from the centre of the circle to any point on its edge.
Multiply the radius by itself (radius squared) then multiply by 3.14159.
